What's the Difference between Health Coaching and Wellness Coaching?
And what is it that you actually do?
I recently got that question. And, well, I can totally understand the question. To be honest, it has been a progression based on experience, continued education and listening to what my clients are seeking.
WELLNESS COACHING
What makes this different from health coaching? Good question. When I first began my journey into the health and wellness space, it was through teaching group fitness. I love this aspect and still get so much joy from teaching fitness classes. However, through the years, I learned that fitness was only a small part of being healthy and well. I recently upleveled my health coaching education and certification because I wanted to make it a deeper, more overall experience. I wanted it to focus more on all the aspects of wellness.
In wellness coaching, I take a holistic approach to all aspects of general wellbeing. We cover all four areas, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects. It all matters and we can’t have one without the other because everything works together in a true balancing act.
We take a deep dive and with simple adjustments and what can be seen as tiny changes, to your body + your thoughts, focusing on your whole wellbeing (or total package).
We move away from:
Going through the motions every. single. day.
Wondering if this is all or when it will get better. (Yes! You can create your day and your own healthy lifestyle)
Feeling lethargic, depleted and unfulfilled. (Fuel your body for energy and nurture you so you can use your own unique gifts)
Feeling stuck but unsure how to move forward. (Sometimes it’s just one tiny step!)
Finding ways to move and exercise that feel good to you, challenge you and make you happy, (i.e., find your endorphins!)
We all have twists and turns in our lives that leave us feeling stuck, unsure, and looking for ways to move forward. (Believe me, I know)
My mission is to help you create simple adjustments for your body and your mind so you live each day intentionally.

So many things affect your wellbeing.
Sometimes it is the every day “hustles” that compile and cause us to reach a “point”. You know, those busy schedules, long hours and days, obligations, family dynamics, time constraints, poor sleep, poor diet, lack of focus, loss of energy, confusion. Maybe it’s only one or maybe all.
It could be something more. A new season of life brought on by an empty nest, a divorce, loss of a loved one, caring for aging parents, and, you know, that thing called a global pandemic . . .
Together we will make a new path. It’s not just one thing. We take a holistic approach to reach your fullest potential in each area of your life, treating your body and mind, looking at what you, gives you that spark, makes you curious, inspires you.
Wherever you are in your journey, whatever season you find yourself, it is time to create the life you want. A full, abundant life that you experience and love.
Learning to manage stress, incorporating new habits, adding movement that makes you feel good, nurture your body, increasing your mental space. We are all different so we all have to “figure ourselves out”. We are our own science experiments and, hopefully, will keep changing and evolving. We are not meant to be stagnant. We are meant to continue to grow, move forward and evolve in healthy ways.
