Yoga Playlist for the Fall - a little non-traditional mix

I teach a little yoga here and there and love these sessions in my week.  I am by no means a yoga expert and learn something new each time I practice, teach or attend a class.  Sometimes I plan out the practice for the day, keeping in mind a few things we will work on during the session.  Sometimes, however, even if I have a particular flow in mind, the class takes on a practice of its own and the energy takes us elsewhere.  Sometimes those "unplanned" days are the best.

As in my other classes, music is a huge part of the class.  In yoga, the music is so different.  I do not always like the typical yoga music that it out there and like to come up with my own playlists, incorporating some old, contemporary, newly found and spa music.  I have a new playlist that got really high marks the other day.  I had planned the list around each song or so being for a different method or speed in the practice.  One song more of an ashtanga style and then move to a vinyasa flow.  We were able to work on our strength by holding poses and flexibility and then "firing up" and moving more with an upbeat flow.  The variety was really good and a little non-traditional.  Here is what the playlist looks like.

As you can see, my tastes are all over the board!  I love to find some new music to incorporate into the mix.  In fact, here is a "new find" for me and I've loved this as a cool down.  Take a minute to check it out.  What do you think?

The song, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain reminds me of being a little girl, listening to my Daddy sing.  Maybe that's why I like this so much.

What kind of music do you listen to while working out?  Practicing Yoga?  For a Cool Down?

Hope you are having a GREAT day!
