A Wellbeing Challenge. . . We Can Do Anything for 30 Days!

I love a challenge. I used to take on some new one on a regular basis, whether it was a physical one, something to test my will or a challenge just to keep me a bit fresh and “up to date”. However, it’s been a while since I’ve taken anything on, or at least anything I have shared. But I’m feeling the need for a little push.

I’ve spent some time following surgery working on some fitness goals, and in the new year I am working on gaining more strength. But. . . I wanted something more.

I wanted to do something MORE than a Dry Janurary.

But I wanted to do something LESS than a 75 Hard.

I wanted to ADD things to Benefit Positive Energy of Giving and trying to Grow inside as well and encompass the whole Well Being.

So, here we are. For 30 days.

I think all of these are doable. They each add to overall wellbeing and I think will make us feel better, healthier, balanced, and energized. I’m excited about it. I’m looking forward to seeing what it will feel like to do the things that sometimes I don’t want to do. To stay committed. Getting rid of the alcohol and sugar will get rid of the inflammation and fog brain and the bloat these things bring.

Making a 30 minute walk outside part of the day is one of the best rituals we can do. You get the boost from the walking, the endorphins from the movement, Vitamin D from being outside, time to throw the cobwebs out of your brain, extra steps - it’s truly one of the best things you can add to your day!

My morning routine is fairly set with reading and I’m always up for positive messages. But, I have not been able to make meditation a regular part of a routine or ritual. Even if it’s only 5 minutes at the stoplight, that’s a great use of that time (that keeps us from being one of those annoying folks on the phone who misses the light).

Adding an act of kindness really should not be a hard thing, right? It could be anything from taking the stray grocery cart back to the front (those grocery carts all over the parking lots are one of my pet peeves), complimenting your server or cashier, or just going the extra to actually thank folks for the ordinary things they do, or doing a little extra yourself. It shouldn’t be that hard, right? Just a little more intentional.

We all know we need to drink our body weight of water in ounces each day. Some folks do this with no problem and I know I’ve had clients who just DO NOT drink enough water. We are going to feel so much better if we start the day and hydrate all day. And this is water - not juice, diet coke or coffee. It is water. Add in sliced lemon, orange or cucumber, just drink water every day, ok?

So, what do you think? Are You IN?

We begin on Monday, January 16.

I hope you will join!

I’ll be posting on Instagram with the hashtag Wellbeing30 and would love to see yours.

I’d also love to hear how it’s going with you! Share your positive messages, readings and acts of kindness. How you are doing and how you are feeling. This will be SO good! I’m excited!

Let’s Go!

Live Well!
