Love these Apples . . . Autumn Glory

Recently, I received a huge box in the mail.  I couldn't remember ordering anything so was pleasantly surprised to have a box full of fresh Autumn Glory apples and goodies to go along with the apples.  This is one of the fun perks of having this blog.  Sometimes I get really fun stuff in the mail  . . . since going to the mailbox typically means a pile of bills, this is always a treat!I am one of those persons who love a nice, crisp apple, but can never remember which ones are my favorite.  When I bit into one of the apples sent from Autumn Glory, I can honestly say it might be one of the best apples I've had.

These apples are sweet with hints of cinnamon and subtle notes of caramel.  It's a wonderful Fall fruit that comes from Washington.  If you see these in the grocery store, you have to pick them up!The Autumn Glory website offers some great looking recipes to use with the apples.  There are recipes ranging from fish tacos to apple pad thai to apple pie sangria.  Check them all out HERE

EASIEST EVER BAKED APPLESIf you are looking for the perfect healthy snack that just screams Fall, well, here it is.  I am embarrassed to even say how easy this is!  I whipped this up on Sunday afternoon for an afternoon treat in front of the fire.  The kitchen smelled as if I had spent HOURS baking an apple pie!I was thrilled to use one of these sweet apples and especially the handy, dandy apple corer they so graciously sent me.  Someone please tell me why I hadn't invested in this tool earlier?Anyway, this is my very sophisticated recipe. . .Easiest Ever Baked ApplesIngredients:1 Apple, cored and sliced into nice sized pieces.1 Apple, cored and sliced into nice sized pieces.Ground CinnamonSpray an oven proof dish with coconut spray.  Also spray the apple slices.  (Some folks use butter here, but I'm trying to offer you the healthiest version . . . so YOU be your own chef on that decision!)Sprinkle apple slices with cinnamon to your liking.Pop into an oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, maybe longer if you like your apples more done.Let cool and Enjoy!Told you this was a really sophisticated recipe. . .These were obviously good because my pup tried to steal a bite right from my hand!These easy baked apples are so quick, easy and good and can be enjoyed by anyone.
