Tangy Baked Wings
If there is one food that my house of boys loves and could possibly eat at any given moment, it is wings. I am not sure they make enough wings in North America to satisfy these guys. Since I am always trying to keep them satisfied - and home- I happily make wings.I made these on Superbowl Sunday and have been meaning to post the recipe. While I am not a wing fan, I did have one of these and was pretty happy. These are not a standard hot wing, and not a barbecue wing, but rather a little sweet with a good tang. That's the best I can do to describe them. You'll just have to make them yourself and let me know how you describe them!
- 1 Cup local honey
- 1/4 Cup molasses
- 1/3 Cup No Sugar Ketchup
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 spoonful minced garlic (or your preference)
- Dash of pepper
- 2 T Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 T Seasoned Salt
- 1 and 1/2 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 5 T olive oil
- Dash of Tabasco
- 2 packages chicken wings, rinsed and patted dry
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients except for the olive oil.
- Place the wings in a large ziploc bag and cover with the sauce. Push out the air and seal tightly. Mix the wings into the sauce with your hands until totally coated.
- Line a jelly roll pan with foil and coat with the olive oil.
- Place the wings in a single layer on the pan and bake for one hour or until cooked through and crisp.
- ENJOY!
This is a really easy recipe. We baked these in the oven, but could just as easily cooked them on the grill.
