The Day After . . . when you need a "do over" from too much

Today is the day following my favorite day of the year.  Today is Easter Monday.  I'll be honest.  I think tomorrow I will need a "do over".  With all the cooking, eating, drinking, getting together, celebrating, I over did it.  It was such a glorious weekend of being together and sharing with our little family that I think I have the after Easter hangover.  Or something like that.  It was unbelievably nice to have  my three boys home and together AND having fun together (meaning not fighting!) with such wonderful weather that pushed us outside the entire weekend.  It was even nicer having family together and a cousin to hang with, a beautiful church service, too much wonderful food afterwards, AND a thoughtful lively discussion around the table about the meaning of Easter and the events leading up to the third day.  So much to be thankful for - and also this:egg huntDon't think you or anyone is ever too old to hunt for eggs . . . especially if the eggs are filled with cash!!  In honor of my mom's love of the hunt, these boys weren't too proud to hunt and gather! We prepared the recipes I shared here earlier, and let me tell you, the Rosemary Balsamic Pork Loin was truly fabulous!  You have to whip that one out SOON!  We had a couple of other not so light sides of macaroni and cheese, Vidalia Onion casserole and deviled eggs.  We finished off with a decadent Mocha Meringue Ice Cream Pie from the cookbook, Come On In.I think that's what did me in!  And feeling like a stuffed pig is SOOOO unpleasant.  So, if you, too, feel a little "large" today, it's okay.  It just means you had a wonderful meal, perhaps some Easter candy you don't normally indulge in, and your own family and friends around and your own celebration.  Those are all good things! That's why I choose to have a "do over" tomorrow and plan our meals, incorporate some really good workouts into the week, hydrate with lots of water and get lots of fruits, vegetables and clean eats to replace the decadent treats and leftovers hovering around in our fridge. How was your Easter?  Your Celebration?  How are you feeling today?  Looking for some ways to begin your own "do over?"  Enjoy Your Day!Signature
