A Few of My Favorite Things . . . for your Holiday Shopping
As I am typing I have the tune from "These are a Few of my Favorite Things" song from The Sound of Music in my head. Now you do too, I bet. You're welcome. I've basically been ignoring that the Holiday Season is fast approaching, but with all of the commercials, decorations already in the stores AND the Holiday Channel on Sirius Radio going full force, I guess it's time to get ready.I used to be one of those ridiculously organized persons that had all of the Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving, all hidden in piles in a special locked closet or tucked in corners all over the house. I'm no longer that organized person. Not sure where she went, but I've found two good things about that. First of all, I would hide things from myself and not be able to find that particular gift, so I'd have to go buy a replacement for whoever it was with the hidden gift. It was really annoying to find the gift later, like in July! Secondly, I'd forget what I had bought and hidden and, in effect, double buy for some folks. Either way, my uber organization was not saving me a dime and was, in some ways, stressing me out more! So, now I choose to shop with the rest of the folks out there who begin about now. . . . or after. If you, or someone you know, maybe even your significant other, is shopping for someone with a little wellness in mind, I've come up with a pretty good list of My Favorite Things from this year. These ideas are not merely for a fitness nerd, but for anyone! Some of these ideas you will recognize if you a stop by this site regularly. The are all tried and true and have to be real "favorites" to make the list. I've even made it really easy for you to shop right here and now! Just click on the link and with a push of a little finger you can have these favorites delivered right to your door! Again, you're welcome! Here goes:Fit Flop Mules - can't say enough about the comfort here! If you have ever tried the Fit Flop flip flops, you're gonna LOVE these!Thorlo Socks - I discovered these socks when walking for the Susan G. Kolman 3 Day Walk and have been hooked ever since. They are the best socks out there for walking, running and training. Super comfy and padded in the heel and ball of the foot. Just my opinion!Polar Loop - This is the fitness tracker that I tried and am still loving. I wear it 24/7 all day, every day. It keeps track of my steps, calories, activity level, time, and syncs with an app on my phone to tell me if I've been sitting too long! With a heart rate strap it also serves as a heart rate monitor. Love my Loop!Bosu - This is such an excellent, versatile piece of workout equipment, perfect for at home. I'm actually on my second, because I couldn't live without it. My first absolutely wore out - or maybe my rambunctious boys wore it out!Running Buddy - I don't leave home without this for a run, walk, dog walk, gym workout, you name it. It's the easiest, unobtrusive little invention to hold your cell phone, credit card or keys when you want to be hands free. I'm so bummed I didn't invent this little thing! And, a shout out to the Running Buddy company because they were great to work with when I inquired from them about their product and reviewing it for this site!Against All Grain Cookbook by Danielle Walker - This is my new go to cookbook for simple, fresh, real food recipes. My boys have loved everything from this book and I love sharing this with you! Again, this may not be a new find for you as I've mentioned it here before. In case you missed it, it's a good one!Athleta Long Sleeve Twist Top - Or just about anything from Athleta! This is a great long sleeve top to wear when it's cool or to layer for outdoors. It comes in fun colors and the quality is always good from this great company. There you go. I hope you like the sound of one or all of these ideas. Either for others or yourself. Let me know if you have any questions about any of them. I'll always give you my honest feedback. I'm not getting anything from any of these folks for sharing these products - they have just come across my way and I think they are definitely worth sharing!I think I'll start another list . . . of things I don't have but would love to be able to add to my favorite list!Let me know your favorites! What have you loved this year? What have you found that's worth sharing?Enjoy!Picture0 Comments- See more at: http://www.marla-deen-fit.net/my-non-blog-blog/a-few-of-my-favorite-things-to-start-your-christmas-shopping-list#sthash.zxfl9q7Q.dpuf
