Why I Encourage a N0-DIET Lifestyle

If you asked me what the best diet out there is I would say a Non-diet.  I would say that there is no best diet out there and no perfect plan made up by someone else that would best work with and for your body.  Knowing how many diet books and programs are currently available and that the diet business is a billion dollar business, you might think I would have a better answer.  Maybe, though, there are SO many diets, diet books, diet programs and diet opinions available to the masses, that it means no one has found the answer in a book or program.  So, another book or program has to be concocted, purchases and tried.  And the cycle continues.

I am not dissing any of these diets.  If you named one, chances are I’ve tried it.  When that didn’t stick, I would try another one.  This is a vicious cycle that for some folks can continue and continue until either they give up, OR they finally figure out that it wasn’t the perfectly laid out diet plan, the cookie cutter method or the testimonials endorsing the plan that finally helped.  What helps is actually learning our way around food in a healthy way, getting the right mindset, finally overcoming our own hangups and habits and relationship with food that brings success.

Diets are boring.  They absolutely suck the joy out of life to me.  That is why I want to shout from the mountaintops that diets do not work and to truly live a long, healthy life, it all comes down to a lifestyle shift.  Now, for some folks that might be a gigantic shift and for others it might mean small changes, or tiny subtractions and additions for a lifestyle shift.  You see, there is no one size fits all plan for a perfect healthy lifestyle that will fit each and every one of us.

There are some wonderful tips that I encourage my clients to try or to implement into their lives.  These are by no means hard and fast rules that work for everyone.  However, they are tips that I have found through my own trial and error, ups and downs, experiences and work with clients that help create a peaceful soul, a well-being, and a mindset better able to nurture whole health, self love, recognize and handle food triggers and just appreciate and enjoy food for all the goodness it gives.

Finding this shift is such a huge gift and part of my one-on-one coaching.  It is why I share my faults and failures and share my passion for helping folks find their own healthy lifestyle.  That sweet spot is so empowering and life-changing!

In the past I’ve only worked with clients that I meet with personally.  We meet face to face and work together.  That’s a wonderful space to be in but in order to grow and share even more, I’ve included a 1:1 Mentoring program right here.   At your fingertips.  Wherever you are.  However you are. In your pajamas, in your workout clothes, in your office, with your toddler in the background, or in your school dorm.  It doesn’t matter.  What matters is that you know it’s the right time for you and that you are open and ready to find your own joy and freedom and create a healthy lifestyle that is your very own.

I have all of the details on my 1:1 Mentoring Page.  If you’ve had the nugget in the back of your mind, if you’ve wanted to take the plunge, if you have your own personal struggles, this might just be your right time.  You can make the big change.
