DON’T WAIT UNTIL JANUARY 1st!!!

I hope you and your family and friends have had one of your best Christmases ever!  These are such special times to share with family.  Not to be taken for granted!  Ours was so fun and now I’m enjoying one of my favorite weeks.  I have always loved this week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.  I love the slower pace, the relaxed schedule and still having the decorations to enjoy.  I used to follow my mom’s schedule and hurry and scurry to have every thing down and put away before New Year’s Eve in hopes of enjoying more luck in the New Year.  I’ve thrown that out the window and now enjoy and take my time undoing all the decorations.

If you are like me, and the rest of most folks, your habits and nutrition have likely gone off the rails over the last few days.  Things have been hectic, crazy and everything has gone a bit overboard, and that’s as it should be.

It’s absolutely no big deal and no reason to feel guilty or beat yourself up.  However, I’m here to encourage you to NOT let this week of relaxation or the continual feeling of Holiday completely do you in.  Don’t start with that “I’ll just wait until the New Year” old addage.  No need to wait until a set date and time on the calandar.  Go ahead and make those good choices TODAY!  No time like the present to start feeling fresh, good, energized and less bloated.

Here’s how I’m eating today.

Early Morning – Water with lemon.  Then, of course, coffee.

Large water with BCAAs.  Workout. More water.  (and that’s just because I wasn’t hungry this morning.  Otherwise, I’d have had a Green Smoothie.

Back home, warm water with lemon (because I was cold!)

Green Smoothie
More water.

Lunch: Vegetable Soup

More Water

Snack:  clementine and a few almonds (if I’m hungry)

Dinner:  Large salad with 4 oz protein (chicken or grilled salmon)

More Water!

So, following a feasting day with an overload of carbs and sugar, a low carb day is a great way to reset and de-bloat your body.  Drinking water and eating those green vegetables with lean proteins and your healthy fats is the best way to feel your best.

If you are looking for some other easy, healthy options, check out my FREE Ebook, 5 in 5.  Five days of five light meals and snacks that will have you feeling great heading into your New Year’s Eve celebration.

5 in 5 Ebook

And if you are looking for help in creating your OWN healthy lifestyle in 2018 I hope you will join me as I launch my NEW online program, Better & Beyond.  This will NOT be a diet plan where you are given strict foods and meals to follow.  Rather, this will be a 6 week program for you to learn how to best nurture your body in a healthy and efficient way to empower you to meet your personal goals, whether that is to lose weight, manage your nutrition, or age well,  by following my workout plan, learning to eat intuitively, and learning how to nurture yourself.

I will not be cramming this down your throat in January in the midst of all the white noise of New Year diets, plans and weight loss goals.  I will be talking about this program and giving you information so you can get as excited about it as I am!  Look for the new website and program outlines in February!

Until then, enjoy your (hopefully) slower week!
