If you ar participating in our Month of Motivation then you know we are on Week 3. This is a big week! This is the week that interest begins to die, folks start to slip back into those comfortable habits and, coming after a major Holiday weekend, may find it difficult to gain back that motivation. I’m here to say Stay the Course! Keep Going! Continue to Move Forward! This week, let’s focus on one word . . .
CONSISTENCY
Look at your week. What can you be consistent with daily? Following the menu guide for clean, healthy meals and snacks? Scheduling your workouts and getting them done? Setting aside some time for yourself? Drinking 100 oz of water daily? It doesn’t have to be all of them . . . Remember it is the little things that you do consistently over time that make the changes you want. It is the little things that you do day in and day out that create a lifestyle change.
If you have overloaded on sugar this weekend, maybe consistently eliminate it each day and see how much better you feel! If you have been too busy with friends and family to get in your exercise, find a way this week to make it work. You might have to get up a little earlier, get creative with fitting in little bits and pieces throughout the day, take an after dinner walk now that the days are longer, find what works for you and make it stick.
Keep up the good work! Let me know what part you are struggling with, what areas are easy or more difficult to keep consistent. Keep in mind that every new day brings a new opportunity! That thought alone is motivation!
Enjoy Your Day!
