Week 2 of Month of Motivation

We are at our Second Week of the Month of Motivation.  How was the weekend?  How’d you make it through?  We had a fun and busy weekend with some Senior Prom fun, dinner with friends and a full day of being outside on Sunday.  I used to hate Sunday evenings as I would get the “downs” thinking about starting the week early on Monday morning. . .

I tend to fend that off these days by thinking of one thing to look forward to on Monday morning or during the week.  It can be as small as a great cup of coffee, planning for a good workout, scheduling a walk/lunch/dinner with a friend or even scheduling some time with my book.  (that’s how crazy I get)  Whatever sounds good to you – create something positive to look forward to.  It totally switches the mindset and helps you think of beginning a new week rather than looking at ending a weekend.

So, here’s to staying Motivated this Week!

Since I mention having a Green Smoothie for breakfast I thought I’d share my recipe.

My Go To Green Drink

In a blender put the following:

Handful of Ice
1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1/2 Banana
1/4 Cup Fresh Pineapple
Handful of Kale, Spinach, Both or other Greens
About 1 Cup of Coconut Milk.  (Plain unsweetened or Vanilla)
This is quite delicious but you can also throw in other fruit or veggies that you may have on hand.
Blend!
Drink Up!

I’ve said it before, if you are afraid of green  – don’t be!

Enjoy Your Day!
