Keep Your Motivation through the Weekend!

Today is the day – it’s Friday!  We have made it through the work week and are gearing up for the weekend!  This is often the two days that completely throws folks off their healthy eating habits.  It is often the time when folks undo all the good stuff they have worked on all week.  I know . . . I used to do the very same thing!

I used to be the girl who was diligent and disciplined all week long – probably a bit too disciplined – because when the weekend hit I gave food and drink choices little thought.  It was the weekend, right?  It’s really easy to sabotage yourself.  Let’s NOT do that this weekend!  Let’s check in here on the week so we can go forward into the weekend and come out feeling great on Monday morning.

Did you look at the meal guide?  Follow it or use it as inspiration?  Did you shop and prep healthy foods for the week?  Did you get in exercise this week?  Maybe write it down?  Also, just as importantly, did you take (or make) some time to sit, be still, wind down? I added a verse for the week and if that inspires you I hope it helped give you a little motivation.

“Thoughts become things” is one of my favorite quotes, and seems to follow this scripture.  I’m a big believer in the power of our thoughts.  Where our mind goes all else follows.  To stay motivated over the weekend let’s stay focused on the wonderful positive actions you are taking!  If you are following the menu guide you’ll see there is flexibility in your dinner options.  Make good choices and enjoy!

I hope you take some time over the weekend to rest your body and your mind.  Allow yourself time to do something for yourself!

Enjoy Your Day!
