A Whole30 Tip for Coffee

I haven’t really posted a Whole30 Review after completing my 25 days of following Whole30.  If you missed my experience or are interested, you can find my outline of 22 days of Whole30 HERE.  First of all, remember I did admit that I was only following it for 25 days due to a trip I had planned and I also admitted that I did not follow it perfectly.  While I was not a perfect follower I still have great things to say about the program.  Even though I am not actively following Whole30 now, I am still reaping the benefits.

I decided to give it a try, not so much to lose weight, but to get myself back in tune with a really clean program, reset my body and eliminate all sugar and processed junk from my diet.  During the 25 days, there were times when my stomach was not my friend, there were times when I didn’t eat enough so at times my workouts were not optimal, there were times that I just got flat out bored with food, and there were times that my will-power was really tested.  However, I am glad I decided to dig into it and will definitely do it again.

I actually did lose a little weight, which was basically probably bloat that I tend to carry around, but has thankfully stayed away.  I did feel really good.  I did miss cheese for 25 days.  When I began to introduce some foods back into my diet, the one that did bother me was that beloved cheese.  Unfortunately, I did not let that stop me and am having to watch the cheese again . . .

One thing that I continued to miss during the 25 days was that first cup of morning coffee with a splash of half and half.  I never got the taste for it simply black.  I never liked it with coconut or almond milk, either.  Those just don’t give the coffee the creaminess that half and half does.  In fact, that was the one thing that might keep me from going for Whole30 again!  However, that problem has just been solved!  After one of my classes last week, I was talking Whole30 with one of our clients.  I was lamenting about the coffee thing and she told me about a wonderful Whole30 approved product that saved her.  She told me about Nature’s dairy-free creamer, nutpods.   Blow me away!  How had I missed this!  I immediately ordered the variety pack from Amazon.

Two days later this showed up at my door.IMG_0844

I was thrilled, but a little skeptical that it would be as good as the rave.  I will say that I was so pleasantly surprised the next morning.  The nutpod dairy-free creamer made that first cup of coffee just like I loved it.  It had the same creamy consistency that makes the half and half work so well.  I am now a fan!

There it is.  That first cup to start the day that is smooth and creamy AND dairy free, Whole30 approved, and totally guilt free.  I can definitely dig into Whole30 again!  I can also enjoy my coffee without putting back dairy into my diet.

If you’d like to try these, the variety pack is a good place to start to see what you might like.

Let me know what you think!

Enjoy Your Day!
