Happy Weekend! And it is officially my favorite time of year . . . Spring! This is the scene from my office as I sit typing . . . and the photo doesn’t really do it justice.

Today I’m sharing some things I’ve run across this week. The first is FULL of motivation! I received an email from a long time friend, actually an insurance agent, sharing part of his workout that had been videotaped. Our friend, Dan, is one of the most energetic, positive people you will ever speak with! We have talked about workouts and his fitness regimen in the past but I LOVED receiving this email and video and just so you know, Dan is a grandfather and will be 66 next month!
Before this was videoed, which I did not know was being videoed, I had already run 6.2 miles, which I do every day, plus did 2 sets of pullups, plus 30 sit-ups with a 10 lb weight. A Marietta Police SWAT Officer in his 30’s came over and asked if I ever do any weighted pullups, as he had just done some with a 10 lb weight. I strapped on this 45 lbs. I didn’t realize he was videoing it, and he later shared it with his SWAT Team, which is fine with me because we are all good friends. This week another SWAT officer said they had used my video as a “Motivational Video” for the SWAT Team, which is cool with me, and asked for a copy.
Dan runs 6.2 miles every single day, and had always stayed in shape. I’ll say!
Next, a friend of mine introduced me to Gretchen Rubin recently. I have said in the past that I am a self-help, self book junkie. I am also a sucker for personality analysis or quizzes that help me pinpoint myself and understand some of my make up. Gretchen Rubin is an author who has written several books. She has also developed a 4 Tendencies Quiz to help people see how they develop good and bad habits. Through the quiz you will see whether you are one of the following:
Upholders respond readily to outer and inner expectations
Questioners question all expectations; they’ll meet an expectation if they think it makes sense–essentially, they make all expectations into inner expectations
Obligers meet outer expectations, but struggle to meet expectations they impose on themselves and
Rebels resist all expectations, outer and inner alike.
I was a clear upholder. No real surprise there. Take the test yourself and see if you surprise yourself!
This came across my Instagram feed this week:
I like that one.
And lastly, ’tis the Season, but I don’t think these are on the Whole30 Plan!

That’s all for now.
Enjoy Your Day!
