New Year, New Intentions and ClassPass comes to Atlanta!

I know I’m a few days late in saying Happy New Year!  We’ve been traveling and now am in the whole unpacking, undecorating, re-organizing stage of the Holiday.  I’ve been absent from my computer friend, but am now back.  This New Year feels so different to me.  I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to ring in a new year.  I am almost giddy about a whole, clean slate in front of me.  A brand new beginning and opportunities for new adventures and experiences.  It just gets me so excited thinking about it.  However, I won’t bore you with new resolutions.  I am not making resolutions.  I’ve decided that the very word “resolution” sounds so overwhelming, structured and, well, a little mean.  Maybe that’s why most of  us don’t really stick to New Year’s Resolutions.  I’ve decided to use the word “Intention” this year.  I am making a few personal Intentions that I will strive for daily.  If I slip up I can just re-state my intention and get back on my horse.  Resolutions sound as if they will be broken while Intentions sound as if they are what we truly want for ourselves and sound more positive.  I know it’s really all semantics and words, but sometimes I think the way we look at things is the first step toward success.

What do you think?  Do you see a difference between Resolutions and Intentions?  Do you set either?  Do you share?  (I actually wrote mine out in my calendar so I hope to keep the focus . . . )

Now, on to something exciting for the Atlanta Area!  I was asked to share a great way to kick off your fitness for the New Year if you live in my area.  ClassPass has come to Atlanta and just in time for new exercise and fitness goals.  Boutique exercise studios have popped up everywhere and are the current fitness trend.  However, if you want to get your cardio at a cycling boutique gym, and then want to get in your toning at a Bar Class and then need to do some yoga at another gym, those different memberships can really add up.  Enter a clever little set-up called ClassPass!  I had read about ClassPass in other areas and was thrilled when I was asked to introduce it to all of you!  For $79 a month you can visit as many gyms as you like, and attend any class up to three times a month.

I logged in this morning to look at the options available and was pleased to see all of the local boutique gyms I like to visit for variation,  others that I’ve been wanting to try,  as well as new options.  I’m looking forward to adding new workouts to my routine this month.  I’ll be sure to report back to you!  If you are in the area I hope you take advantage of checking this out!  It might be just the thing to add some variety to your workouts, especially as all of the gyms will be suffering the January New Resolution crowds!

Here’s to a New Year!  New Workout Options!  And especially to NEW INTENTIONS for 2015!

Enjoy the Day!
