The workout was about 50 minutes of cardio split between the Arc Trainer and the bike.
I threw in walking lunges around the indoor track totaling 80 lunges with two 10 lb. dumbells.
Next came abs on the Bosu, my favorite abdominal too
20 reps of Upright Rows, 10 lb dumbells
20 Reps Bicep Curls, 10 lb dumbells
20 Bentover Rows, 10 lb dumbells
20 Tricep Kickbacks, 10 lb dumbells
3 Sets of Each
As I was leaving, I saw what looked like a Zumba class starting, so I decided to jump in for a little while. I soon discovered it was an Interval Class, a far cry from a Zumba Class. We did 1 minute jump rope intervals with 1 minute body strength work consisting of lots of plank moves, glider moves, burpees and body weight moves. Since the instructor was my boss I couldn’t just walk out!
I did finally leave, but reluctantly I think because I had some home chores to do that I was putting off . . . . I spent the rest of the day cleaning then painting the floor of our basement (one of the boys let an ink pen loose spreading black ink spots EVERYWHERE). It was a good back breaking job. Then I got a bee in my bonnet to strip out all of the old caulk from our shower and re-caulk. Another back breaking job. I count both of these chores as additional workouts! And I’m feeling a little Martha Stewarty.
For Dinner tonight I made a new Meatball Recipe. My boys were disappointed I wasn’t using my mother’s recipe, which they love, but these must have been okay since we only had
three leftover . . .
Recipe down below!
11/2 lbs lean organic ground beef
1 Cup cooked quinoa
1 Cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1/2 Cup Skim Milk
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp Season Salt
1/2 tsp Italian Seasonings
In a bowl, mix together all ingredients until combined. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Form meat mixture into small balls, about 3 Tb each. Arrange on 2 cookie sheets lightly sprayed with olive oil. Bake 8 minutes; turn and bake 10 minutes.

So, what did you do today? How was your Monday? Did you indulge on Father’s Day? Don’t you just love doing the Martha Stewart-like stuff at home?
Have a great start to the week!
