Pictures Speak a Thousand Words

I’ve been away from my computer for a week spending Spring Break at the beach with my third son and 15 other little 11 year olds and their fantastic moms.  It’s right up there with my top favorite trips! Getting back to reality has been a little tough, so this post is all about the  pictures.  I feel I would be remiss in not beginning with this first photo.

I cannot even speak of how my heart hurts and my stomach is sick for all affected.  My heart and prayers are with all of these people, the city and the marathon organization.

When I got back into town things were a little awry in my home.  First of all, I was greeted by this sad sight.

Pitiful

I quickly changed that. Isn’t that much better?

And here are some fun photos from the week:

Peaceful Sunsets

Green Smoothies for Everyone! This was a daily concoction!

As was this later in the day . . .

This was some lovely blueberry vodka lemonade concoction. I think more than one would have been deadly.

Two days of really good (and hard) yoga helped “balance” it all out!

And hanging out with a bunch of moms you feel comfortable in your PJs is priceless!

So, I was actually taking a picture of the boys playing frisbee one morning after a run, but had the photo on reverse – Arrgh. Don’t normally take photos of myself! But here’s the proof of the great weather for morning workouts!

I completed the week with a very unhealthy but delicious lunch of fried pickles and a cheeseburger. Definitely worth every calorie.

Lastly, this one says it all. What a wonderful group of friends. I feel so blessed to have been able to watch them grow and bond over the last six years.

Leaving the beach was bittersweet.  However, it helped knowing the family and a few friends were then heading over to Athens to see the first ever concert held at Sanford Stadium, home of the Georgia Bulldogs.  What a fun way to end the week!

Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. My country roots are really showing because they were awesome!

Whew!  That’s it for now.  Hopefully, tomorrow I will get back to my regular programming.

Have a Great Day!

If you have friends and/or family in Boston or who participated in the marathon I hope desperately they are all well.
