January Home Workout

Here is a Home Workout I did today.  I’m sure you have everything in your home to do the same, too.  I’m looking forward to some more of these for the month of January.  I hope you join me and let me know what you think!

JANUARY HOME WORKOUT # 1

Cardio Warm-Up.  I used these:

Gliders and Kettlebell or a dumbell

A bench for the tricep dips. A chair or coffee table will also do the trick

No Gliders or Kettlebells or Weights? No problem! Surely you have two dish cloths and laundry detergent

1.  Up and Down the stairs is 1 Set.  Do 10 Sets
If you don’t have stairs, a jump rope will do, or  your own cardio to get your heart
rate up and begin burning calories!
2.  Half Burpee with 15 lb Kettlebell Swing.  10 Times
3.  Mountain Climbers using Gliders.            20 Times
4.  Tricep Dip with Leg Extension                 10 Each Leg
5.  Bicycle Crunches                                     1 Minute
REPEAT 4 TIMES THROUGH

Finish with a good stretch.  I opted for a good yoga flow to help stretch my sore muscles.  (my glutes are yelling at me for lots of squats yesterday!)

If you have any questions about any of the exercises I’ve got some pics below to help.  Also, if you have more feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll give more explanation.

Keep your back flat and abs pulled in! Right then Left is one rep

I eliminated the push-up and after the jump grabbed the kettlebell, swung it between my legs while in a squat and then raised it over my head, then back to the ground.

A double whammy of tricep work and abs on this one

Picture

Really press your lower back into the ground and pull in your navel. Do NOT allow your back to arch. If that happens bring your legs up toward the ceiling. And Breathe!

ENJOY YOUR DAY!  DON’T YOU JUST LOVE TO HATE/OR HATE TO LOVE THOSE BURPEES?
