Jaime, the owner, explained to me that the recipe is from her grandfather who made this almond butter for years and passed it down to his grandaughter. Jaime began making the almond butter in her kitchen, until it became necessary to find a commercial kitchen to produce even more batches. The almonds are slow roasted and mixed in small batches to keep the flavors just right.

This is really funny. I just saw this almond butter for the first time of Saturday at Sweet Auburn. the booth owner gave us samples – it really is one of the best I’ve ever tried!
