Weekly Finds . . .

I’m back today with a few things I’ve seen this week.  One week away from the big Food Fest and day of celebrating all we have and are Thankful for.  As we really like to eat in my family it’s always a great day and we are beginning to prepare!   Hope you find something here to make  you smile!

Had to share this with thoughts of Thanksgiving in our heads . . .

Sarah Palin has recently lost 35 pounds – Wow! She also says she’s writing a Family Fitness book. Personally, I’m thinking she looks a little gaunt in the right photo. What do you think?

Carrie Underwood donates 100 % proceed from Atlantic City concert to Sandy Relief

If you know me you know I’m a huge country music fan.  I love the down home feel the music gives me.  I especially love how country songs always seem to tell a great story – including church, God and family.  (and usually a little drinking for good measure).  I think Carrie Underwood is an extremely beautiful person, and she seems more so by her recent donation to those affected by Hurricaine Sandy.  On Nov. 10, she performed in Atlantic City, N. J. and donated 100 percent of the concert proceeds back to the hurricane-devastated community.  What a great example of a giving heart.

Another Thanksgiving Thought! Too funny!

If you are feeling the pressure of all the family coming in or the beginning of Holiday Madness, I like to think about this one.

Don’t forget the Maintain Don’t Gain Challenge this Year!

Paying it Forward:
Last night I was grabbing dinner for my boys in a local restaurant.  (I know, but it was one of those crazy nights!)  When I attempted to pay the bill to the cashier, she promptly told me the lady in front of me had paid my bill.  My son and I were so touched by this simple gesture!  We, of course, paid it forward and paid for the young man behind us!  It truly made my day!

Lastly, a verse I’ve posted throughout my house this month:

Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is god’s will for you in Christ Jesus.               1 Thessalonians 5:16

Hope you are having a good week!
