Since I did not have it this morning while I was teaching a class I wasn’t able to see how it would track that activity. I did have it on basically from the minute he gave it to me and one of my sons uploaded all of my info into the program. I wore it while I did some work in our yard, weeded, planted, swept, watered and moved water hoses around. It was good to see that activity counted for something! I did not log any of my food today, but will begin tomorrow and see how easy or aggravating that is. Maybe this will help me keep a better journal of meals . . .
One really interesting thing I am curious about is the function to monitor sleep. It has a wristband that you wear the fitbit in while you sleep to see how long and well you sleep. If you have read any of my old posts, you will remember that sleep and I have a love/hate relationship. Sleep doesn’t seem to like me a bit and I would love for it to hang around a lot more than it does! I truly can’t remember the last time I had a really good nights sleep! Maybe this tracking – and shown on a graph – will help me figure out when and why I’m up. Then I might could fix the problem. Worth a try anyway.
So, this is my new toy and I’m thrilled to share it! I’ll keep you posted on it!
Perhaps it will speed my “getting back on track” after a vacation at the beach, being off my foot from a little injury AND a huge day of Easter eating. If you are from the South you know that Easter is full of family and food and that means, deviled eggs, ham, desserts and other fattening fare.
Our traditional ham did take a hiatus this year in favor of a lighter, but just as delicious meal. Check out this delicious and healthy Pork Tenderloin with Pineapple Mango salsa. . . No guilt there! (The homemade macaroni and cheese straight from Ina Garten was a complete guilt bomb, though!)
What was your favorite Easter treat?
